Well, first things first, I have bangs, real bonifide bangs. I went all the way, no ease into it sidebang. What do you think? I'm still on the fence. Some days I wake up and think, OK! I can rock these, and other days all I can think about is how stinking long it is going to take to grow them out. I actually think I really like them but they just aren't fitting into my schedule, meaning I actually have to put forth effort EVERY morning in order for me not to look like Alfalfa. Oh well...Enough hair talk. Isn't my blouse fun? The print is so...I'm not sure what, but cool. I bought it at this little consignment shop in town called Younique Boutique. I took in a large tub of clothes and have been having a jolly time perusing every week for new treasures knowing that it won't cost me a dime! I also bought these boots there. It was like they were made for Alaska, they are lined with wool! Cozy toes....
WHAT:
Jeans: Denim of Virtue
Boots: Thrifted...$9
Blouse: Thrifted....$11 (I had store credit so this and the boots cost me $0)
Cardi: Banana Republic
WHERE:
Around town...errand day.
First - I love the bangs on you! They look really good.
ReplyDeleteSecond - What a super cute outfit! I love the blouse and the boots. :)
Wow. I just adore the print on that blouse!
ReplyDeleteI think I have had bangs since I was born! I use a big barrel curling iron on them and curl my hair a little forward on the sides to frame my face. Give them some time and just enjoy a fresh look.
ReplyDeleteYay!! The bangs look GREAT on you! I LOVE store credit! It's the best when you don't have to pay for clothes... ;) The blouse is awesome!

Love the bangs! They look fantastic! Glad to see you're back to posting :)
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the bangs!!! Love this outfit and I've missed your posts ... Cant wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteThat blouse is super funky - I love it! Bangs can be tricky at first, but eventually, they get trained to do what you want. I MUST blow dry and use a small straightening iron on mine everyday to get them right. The good thing about bangs, though? If you do only the bangs, you can let the rest of your hair do it's own thing and you still look properly groomed :)
ReplyDeleteI like the bangs. They make you look more ethnic. (Ok, I think they make everyone look more "ethnic." I look more Polish. Korean girls look more Korean. French girls look more French. Etc.)
ReplyDeleteBut you look really great without bangs too. You could easily go either way with the fringe.
Ok! Love the quote. Love the bangs. Love the shirt. Love the boots. Love this post!
ReplyDeleteI like the bangs~ awesome deal on the boots! love em!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I found you and you are back! AND I LOVE the fringe! I don't know what you looked like before but it looks perfect on you! I also love those boots and your shirt. I have to say though, Alaska looks like my personal hell. SOOO FREEEEEZING! I can barely get over my cold clear dry winters in Nevada! ALL THAT SNOW! you must have some really good ideas for keeping warm. and I intend on learning them from you. please. Also, so great to meet another mom! There are hardly any other mom blogger doing fashion sites that I know of (and I have a hunch as to why, wink wink! our little darlings require quite a bit of attention!) Thank goodness for daddy time is all I'm say'in.
ReplyDeleteLove the bangs, and you look great as always, I see snow what a beautiful background.
ReplyDeletei really like your haircut! i understand the hassle though of actually having to do something with them. cute blouse too!

Oh, I love reading about your great finds at the thrift stores.....you're very lucky to be able to find $1 items....not too many "true" thrift stores around these days with those type of prices!!
