ADVICE PLEASE.......

Outfit and Nifty Thrifty Wednesday later but for right now I would like to talk about hair...my hair!!! It is driving me BONKERS...CRAZY... INSANE! These days I'm feeling like I have a limp mop sitting on my head. I have no creativity or spunk when it comes to my hair, it is styled the EXACT same way EVERY day! UGHHH...can you sense my frustration? The problem is that I have NEVER, NOT ONCE had a good experience with bangs, I'm trying to grow my hair out, and I need it to be low maintenence. Yes, I realize that is a tall order but I think if anyone can help me with my dilemma it is all of you! I am not opposed to anything at this point...even AHEM....bangs. Did I just type that????
PLESE HELP...
What are your suggestions?
How do you think my hair would be best styled?
Bangs? BIG ones? Side ones? Thick ones? Thin ones?
Pictures would be welcomed with open arms!!!

Thanks!

  1. I think side bangs would look good.. probably some thinnish thick ones? Like not too thick but not too thin.

  2. I hear you !
Bangs, yes bangs. Start out with thin ones and if you are convinced do them fuller... that is how I started. I had the same hair mop feel. I have had them for over a year and refuse to get rid of them.
When my hair is dirty I just put it up on in a pony tail and wash the bangs... (shh don´t tell anyone).

  3. Hi there~

I have been reading your blog for about three months now. What caught my eye was that you look like you could be my friend Diana's twin, separated by almost 20 years. :) She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. You two are very similar. A high compliment, indeed. :)
Anyway, she is a stylist in Anchorage. She works at Allure Day Spa and she is fabulous.

    Thank you and good luck,

  5. Bangs that are shorter on one side than the other...growing long on the one side and blended into your hair...make sure they're thinned out with a razor or you'll just look lumpy frumpy doodle. Then have the rest of your hair layered around your face (embracing it sounds creepy, but that's what the hair does). Then you could brush it back or comb it forward and change your whole look. Make sense?

  6. i always think your hair looks nice but it sounds like you want a change. i think side swept bangs could be a nice option. would not take as long to grow out if you end up not liking them. i have been wanting to try that myself, but my hair is so fine, i am afraid to.

  7. I've recently found and have been reading your blog. I jumped over to the PassionforFashion blog and think the third or fourth picture would look great on you. I always take pics with me to my hairstylist and she'll tell me if they'll work with my hair texture.

Good luck and keep up the great posts!

  8. I would start with side bangs. I had side bangs for a long time and only recently got full on bangs. If you want to get full on bangs, do a lot of research as to the kind of look you want, there are so many varieties out there and you don't want to get ones that you don't like. Plus, if you get real bangs and don't like them, you can grow them out to have side bangs.
